Wedding Photography Middleton Lodge

As a busy North Yorkshire wedding photographer, I get to work at all the best North Yorkshire wedding venues, and this is certainly the case when I return to be a Middleton Lodge wedding photographer. If you’re looking for an elegant and luxurious wedding venue
where your guest can really relax and unwind then this is the one for you. Check out Jordan & Laura's wedding HERE. Middleton Lodge is an award-winning Georgian country hotel renowned for its stunning walled gardens. This lifestyle retreat is set in 200 acres of Yorkshire parkland that has been lovingly conserved and restored to create an enchanting escape. It really is a stunning North
Yorkshire wedding venue. For weddings they offer two distinctively different spaces. The first is the Main House and Garden Marquee. This 18th century house has 16 bedrooms, four reception rooms brimming with Georgian splendour, a Grand domed hall with a sweeping staircase and a private bar area. Outside the garden marquee sits by the croquet lawn and enjoys magnificent
views across the parkland. For wedding ceremonies, you can choose to host your ceremony in the Drawing Room which can accommodate up to 75 guests. The Main Hall can accommodate up to 120 guests for a ceremony or in summer months, you can enjoy an outdoor ceremony in the wooden Pavilion on the lawn.

After the ceremony you can have a drinks and canapés reception in the library Bar and/or the Drawing Room. Or in finer weather, on the private croquet lawn. For intimate weddings at Middleton Lodge, the dining room can seat up to 32 guests. If you choose to have your wedding reception in the house without the marquee, it can accommodate up to 110 guests. Larger weddings enjoy their wedding breakfast in the Garden Marquee which can sit up to 170 for a sit-down meal, and up to 200 guests for an
evening celebration. The second venue space that Middleton Lodge offer for weddings is Fig House with its Boiler House Bar and stunning Walled Garden. Fig House is an effortlessly stylish and modern space with exposed brick walls, climbing foliage and a natural stone floor. The space is flooded with tons of natural light through huge arched windows and skylights. Us North Yorkshire wedding photographers do love our light! Wedding ceremonies take place in The Boiler House Bar, which is situated just through the
stone archways of Fig House. In warmer months you can enjoy an outdoor ceremony on the terrace and lawn in the Walled Garden. The wedding breakfast will be served in Fig House and in the evening, doors are thrown open to blend all the indoor and outdoor spaces allowing your party to spill out onto the terrace for a party under the stars. Storytelling wedding photography at The Middleton Lodge This blank canvas can be decorated as you wish though is so picturesque that it doesn’t need
adornment. Food is taken very seriously at Middleton Lodge with their ‘Estate to Plate’ philosophy of where possible using only ingredients from their kitchen garden and local suppliers. And with two award-winning restaurants on site, it’s fair to say that nothing is off the menu. Delicious canapes, a sit-down three course meal or a relaxed buffet. And for the evening your favourite street food or for the cheese lovers ‘A Ploughman’s Table’. When it comes to food, if you can imagine it, the chefs at Middleton Lodge can deliver it.
For your evening celebrations you can choose to dance the night away in the Cellar Bar at the Main House which has a rare 2am license or cosy up with your favourite cocktail ‘til midnight in the Boiler House Bar, just next to the Fig House. And the only neighbours you’ll keep awake are the sheep! When it comes to guest accommodation there are three distinct options. In the Main House
there are five lavish suites that are ideal for preparation rooms for the wedding parties, where I get to capture those all-important ‘morning of the wedding images. The Main House also has a further 11 luxurious bedrooms. The Coach House operates as a mini hotel with nine spacious and comfortable bedrooms. And the Farmhouse has six bedrooms if you’re looking for bit of cosy rustic charm.
