Thirsk Lodge Barns is a stunning exclusive use wedding venue just two miles from Thirsk town centre in a beautiful rural setting. The barns have been cleverly designed to be both
stylish and rustic, modern and charming. Giving you old world character with clean lines and modern luxury all in one place. Thirsk Lodge Barns can accommodate weddings for up to 140 seated guests for a ceremony and sit-down meal and up to 200 guests at the evening reception. The Main Barn is perfect for wedding ceremonies. This old barn built in warm red brick overlooks fields of grass and wild flowers through its floor to ceiling windows. There’s a mezzanine area that offers the perfect space for readers/singers during your ceremony, or for a DJ in the evening. Chairs are arranged to create a natural aisle along the traditional stone floor, and you say your vows in front of a wall of fairy lights that create a gorgeous backdrop for wedding photos.

The atmospheric and stylish bar has a whole wall that opens out on to the Courtyard, allowing you to seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor spaces. The bar has exposed beams and pillars, alongside modern décor and a copper topped bar, it’s the perfect blend of old and new working beautifully together. The perfect place for an elegant drinks reception that allows guests to spill outside and enjoy exclusive use of this amazing venue. The lawn gives younger guests a chance to let off some steam and they even offer lawn games to keep the young and not so young entertained! For the wedding breakfast the Dining Room is ideal. A large skylight floods the room with natural light. Us North Yorkshire wedding photographers just love any additional natural light that we play with to create even more beautiful images. The Dining Room is large and flexible enough to allow different table layouts and offer both round and long trestle tables for you to choose from. The Dining Room also has its own bar over looking the wild
meadow. When I capture wedding photography at Thirsk Lodge Barns, my favourite space is The Courtyard. Housing a magnificent 200-year-old Spanish olive tree it has a wonderful Mediterranean vibe. Perfect for photos, drinks and outdoor fun. They even offer outdoor heaters, firepits for marshmallows and sparklers and the option of an outdoor pop-up bar. For guests looking for a quieter place to sit down The Wheelhouse is a snug room with soft furniture. A great place for kids to watch TV. It enjoys stunning views of the meadow and is situated just off the Main Barn so perfect for guests looking to take a breather from the dancefloor!

Creative Wedding Photography at Thirsk Lodge Barns

The incredibly useful VIP room is private room for the couple. A place to meet the registrar, and somewhere to keep a change of shoes, touch up make up or just take 5 minutes to yourselves from the busy day. When it comes to food, Thirsk Lodge Barns have a list of recommended caterers who are tried and tested. This allows you great flexibility and full control over your wedding food, as
you can have everything from fish and chips to fine dining, to elegant canapes to tasty evening street food. Drink s are provided by Thirsk Lodge Barns and their team will talk through drink options with you in advance. When it comes to guest accommodation, the newly renovated Farmhouse and Laundry Cottage area ideal. The Farmhouse sleeps up to 9 adults in four double rooms and one single room. Plus, there’s a master king sized suite with a luxury bathroom. Downstairs guests can enjoy a large contemporary kitchen, a drawing room with a wood burner and sofas to sink into. It’s the perfect place to accommodate the wedding party.

Laundry Cottage is a romantic little bolthole that sleeps one couple. Modern décor, a roll topped bath in the bedroom and a cosy living room with fireplace make you feel like you’re in your own world when in fact you’re just steps away from the barns.
